Overview

Our approach

People issues tend to reach lawyers late, usually after a resignation turns hostile or a foreign hire is already waiting for a permit. We work with employers to get the groundwork right earlier. That includes employment contracts, internal work regulations and policies that match Egyptian labour rules, and clear terms on confidentiality and restrictions after employment ends. When a relationship has to end, we advise on process, notice and settlement so that the decision holds if challenged. We handle work permits and residence for foreign staff and senior executives, and we review employment matters in acquisitions and restructurings, where staff transfers and redundancies need careful planning. Where allegations of misconduct arise, we can run or support internal investigations with the discretion they require.
