Overview

Our approach

Goods crossing borders pass through many hands: shipowners and charterers, ports and terminals, freight forwarders, customs and the banks financing the trade. A problem at any link can leave cargo stranded and money tied up. We advise shipping companies, traders, logistics providers and their financiers on contracts and disputes along that route. Our work includes charterparties, bills of lading and carriage claims, ship sale and purchase, ship finance and registration, and arrest of vessels to secure claims. On land, we handle logistics, warehousing and multimodal transport agreements. For traders, we advise on sale contracts, documentary credits and customs matters, including disputes over classification and valuation. Given Egypt's position on major shipping routes, much of this work involves foreign counterparties.
